One of our international providers will be doing maintenance today between 16h00 and 20h00 GMT+2 in Portugal. This will affect our international traffic.

We will re-route traffic over our alternative international connection where applicable, this will cause congestion on our international traffic. Please expect delays and peer to peer traffic will be blocked during the maintenance period

We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that the org.za domain registry will be enforcing tighter controls in 2011, allowing only non-profit organisations to own an org.za domain. This has always been the case, however, the Registry is only now starting to enforce the conditions of ordering an org.za domain. It is therefore important that you ensure that you comply with the following criteria going forward:

What if my .org.za website is currently being used for commercial purposes?

If this is the case, you are infringing the regulations surrounding the usage of an .org.za domain name. We would advise that you transfer your website content to an alternative domain at your earliest convenience, to prevent possible termination by the Registry.

Registering of new .org.za domains:

Domain registration is free for entities that are able to provide Section 21 Certification or SARS documentation to accounts@halocomsa.com. If you are a non-profit organisation and are unable to provide the documentation required, you will be charged a once-off administration fee of R350.

To register a new ORG.ZA domain please visit our client portal here.
