Business Extreme (Capped) ADSL (with Static IP’s)
Some businesses are fortunate enough to know their monthly internet capacity requirements. The ability to forecast this need allows such companies to purchase a capped Business DSL product to meet their connectivity requirements.
For users that have small to medium usage requirements, a capped solution may very well be more cost effective than choosing an uncapped solution. For high usage requirements, the capped BDSL Extreme services may be significantly more expensive than the uncapped Cruiser options but the Extreme services are premium, exceptional performing ADSL services where the IS network is managed to ensure these services offer the best performance over all other DSL services.

Top Ups:
The Business DSL Top-ups product affords our clients the ability to purchase additional internet capacity as and when business activity requires it. We are pleased to announce our forthcoming merger with NJC, scheduled to become official on March 1st, 2011. On that date we will conduct our services within the IT division of NJC.
Our firm began its professional practice in 2004. Growth over the past 6 years has been predominantly internal, driven by referrals of our client base and those of other professionals. The growth and development of our staff has evolved in a similar manner.
We decided to seek a merger with another firm because we believe that a larger organization will allow us to provide a wider array of services and more depth. Finding and retaining excellent people is a constant challenge and a larger organization will also mean our associates will benefit from broader career opportunities.
NJC shares the same values we do. We conducted an extensive search within our region looking for an opportunity like this. NJC exceeded our hopes for a firm we can combine with and continue the tradition we have for excellent service, depth of expertise, and an environment our clients and associates want to be a part of.
As a consequence of this merger, we will in future be able to provide you with new services and areas of expertise, and look forward to discussing these in more depth with you. As all our existing staff are being retained, you will have continuity of working with the same people in our firm you have in the past, our fee structure will not change and the services we have provided you in the past will continue to be offered by the combined firm.
As from 1st March we will be relocating to the NJC headquarters at 12 Alexander Rd, Kloof. While we anticipate a smooth transition, we ask for your understanding if there is any inconvenience during this period. ORG.ZA Domain Registration Changes

We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that the org.za domain registry will be enforcing tighter controls in 2011, allowing only non-profit organisations to own an org.za domain. This has always been the case, however, the Registry is only now starting to enforce the conditions of ordering an org.za domain. It is therefore important that you ensure that you comply with the following criteria going forward:
What if my .org.za website is currently being used for commercial purposes?
If this is the case, you are infringing the regulations surrounding the usage of an .org.za domain name. We would advise that you transfer your website content to an alternative domain at your earliest convenience, to prevent possible termination by the Registry.
Registering of new .org.za domains:
Domain registration is free for entities that are able to provide Section 21 Certification or SARS documentation to accounts@halocomsa.com. If you are a non-profit organisation and are unable to provide the documentation required, you will be charged a once-off administration fee of R350.

What is RICA and Why must I comply?
RICA is the “Regulation of Interception of Communications and Provision of Communication-related Information Act”’ which came into effect on 1 July 2009. RICA requires that the details of all telecommunication (ECNS) users be registered. The legislation aims to assist law enforcement agencies in tracking criminals using telecommunication services for illegal activities.
Does this affect me?
All telecommunication services including but not limited to: Internet services such as ADSL, dialup, e-mail, online fax, hosting, domains, 3G/HSDPA, iBurst, VoIP, cellular voice, fixed line voice, iBurst & Neotel, Metro-Connect etc.
How much will it cost you to register?
RICA is free.
How and by when do I need to comply?
All existing users must register before 31 December 2010 to ensure uninterrupted services. All
new services must comply immediately.
What information and documentation do you need to take with you to register?
You are required to register the following information:
- Cell phone number
- Full names and surname
- ID number or passport number. You will need to show one of the following documents as proof of identity: green bar-coded ID document; ID card; temporary ID certificate, or passport.
- Proof of physical address. You will need to show any document that includes your name and residential address such as a bank statement, municipal rates, cell phone or retail account (not older than three (3) months), existing lease, rental or credit agreement, insurance policy, current TV or motor vehicle licence.
- Registration must be done in person to confirm your identity.
In case of a company / business:
- Name and address of company:(registered address or address where the business is situated)
- Registration number of company: As listed on registration document, founding statement, SARS document or similar document. Letter of authority or affidavit confirming company representative: Verify using letter of authority or affidavit
